Hidden View Farm LLC prides
itself on the highest quality of care given to each and every horse.
This is one reason why the farm is full with an ongoing waiting list.
The Sherman’s feel strongly that the care of the horse is the
number one priority, and to that end offer a very individualized and
collaborative approach to the care they and their staff give. The boarders’
needs and wants are listened to and followed through on by all of the
staff. Our veterinarians, nutritionist, farriers, boarders, staff, and
management all come together to provide the highest quality of care
possible.

Horses are offered a Purina
Strategy pelleted feed, or Senior Feed, if necessary. Both timothy hay
and alfalfa hay are available. A warm bran mash complete with apples
and carrots is offered once per week. Each horse’s weight is taken
periodically, along with Body Condition Scoring so that an optimal feed
and exercise program can be determined and monitored with the help of
the nutritionist and veterinarian

Horses are followed with a
strict regime of immunizations and worming and teeth are examined at
least twice per year and more frequently if warranted, especially for
older horses. Retired horses are groomed thoroughly twice per week since
many owners can’t come to the farm due to other responsibilities
or distance. Medications are administered in the least offensive way
to the horse as necessary. Supplements are provided based on medical
need as determined by the veterinarian. Night watch is available and
is taken seriously when a horse needs extra attention.
